I have been working all semester in ensuring that my policy is clear to my audience and not assume that they know what I am talking about or that I am speaking to all educators. I began the semester in writing my policy as if I were speaking to those in the education field until I was given positive feedback from Dr. Davidson in regards to being clear. I've noticed over the module assignments I have been clearer when discussing different aspects of the policy. I think I show strength in making sure that my policy is correct. I use words in my policy that a person with a high school education level can understand. I want parents and people from all walks of life to be able to read, understand and support my policy so this is why I do not include an extensive vocabulary in my writing. I also read what I wrote and implement spell check to ensure that my writing is error free. I will continue to work on providing clear and correct communication to my audience to ensure that my policy's purposes are understood.
